Did you you follow the question? Stated another way how important is it to not do something?
I think this is my biggest problem is dealing with the distractions of everyday life. With more technology seems to come the opportunity to get more distracted. And the more distracted I get, the harder it seems it is to do what I need to do to get what I want to get.
Personally, I'm working on not doing things. Strange but true.
Some of it is habit changing. For example where I developed the habit of turning on the TV when I get home, checking email perpetually, checking voicemail, reading the headlines; and the list goes on. If I step back a few feet from my life and watch my behavior - too many things are reactions or habits that I have developed and not deliberate choices to achieve a goal.
When I decided that I wanted different results out of my efforts - it became time to do something different to get different results. It's that simple.
For me, not doing things - rather consciously choosing to not do something, and doing something different gives me more of the results that I want. I seem to finish the day feeling better about what I accomplished.
Time to go. It's time to 'not blog' - and do something different.
;)

Sometimes I wish our government would hurry up and not do something
I like this thought. I find it more satisfying to not do what I 'want' to do, but to do what I feel I should be doing in order to get what I want. strange but true
