Another lesson from my three year old today.
We had girl scouts over for a project and they were assembling in our driveway to carpool to their destination. I wanted to get my 3 year old to come inside without throwing a fit. Being that I have had success in the past with TV as the bait I offered him a chance to watch his favorite programs to come inside. He didn't want to go.
It's not often that I suggest to my son to watch TV so I was surprised why he didn't jump at the chance. Actually I felt guilty for even suggesting TV. But for some reason it was more appealing to play outside. Even when everyone else came in the house... he said "fine, I am going to play outside alone".
I think its great. At first I thought he wanted to stay outside because that's where the action was. But later I realized that he just loves being outside.
Again my little guy shows me how to choose priorities. I'll leave it at that.
